Hi there and welcome to AddINKtive Designs. I’ve been MIA from my blog for a few days as I’ve been working behind the scenes on my October Tutorial for the Dimensionals and hubby and I have been ‘glamping’.
Today I wanted to share a project that I made using these gorgeous Altenew stamps and dies called Potted Plants that I recently purchased from Craftie Cafe. I couldn’t wait to crack them open and make a Petite Planter Box Card.
I’ve made lots of different types of Planter Box Cards but have been meaning to construct a small, free-standing version that fits inside a standard card size envelope for quite some time. These pot plant images, stamped with a variety of green inks (mostly SU with one Distress Oxide Ink called Bundled Sage) seemed to suit my project to a ‘T’. I love how it turned out and I’m sure it would make a cute card for an Indoor Plant Lover or to give to someone who just can’t seem to keep their potted plants alive … maybe this paper variety would be a fun alternative to add to their work space!
The previous time we went ‘glamping’ I didn’t get much crafty stuff done; just some colouring for one of my Kit and Clowder Pencil Classes. This time I made sure I had plenty of supplies to get a few projects completed and set up my crafty space on the dinette! It took about two hours beforehand to decide what to pack; I managed to get the ‘bare essentials’ into two boxes and one carry bag!
For those that have requested, here’s a couple of pics of our last ‘camping’ spot –
During a global pandemic I am thankful that our state is currently COVID free and that we could head out with a sense of ‘normality’ to this beautiful caravan and camping ground in Bridport, Tasmania.
The view, the gorgeous spring weather and the sounds of the ocean, made for a perfect place to relax and unwind.
It was also a great place to continue with my crafty pursuits. You can grab a copy of my latest card tutorial for a Petite Planter Box Card by clicking on the link below –
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today,
Super cute planter box.
Tasmania seems even further away than Melbourne when you mention you can go camping! We are still restricted to 5km travel radius. I am itching to do a day trip or two!
I hope the stats get better and restrictions are eased soon so you can venture out a bit more.
