K.O Creations Watercolour Card Class with a little Colour INKspiration

Today I went on a road trip to Ringarooma (North East Tasmania). It’s about an hour and a half’s drive away from my house but it was so worth the effort in order to catch up with my lovely friend, Kim from K.O Creations Cards.  She held a COVID Buster Card Making Class and it was all about creating watercolour backgrounds.

This is one of the cards that I made following Kim’s gorgeous design –

I didn’t stray from the overall layout but I did change the suggested colour palette in order to play along with the colour combo at Colour INKspiration Challenges.

Making watercolour backgrounds is something that I haven’t dabbled with much at all; I did do a Brusho Crystals Technique Class once but have kinda neglected doing some different card ‘techniques’ except for fancy folds! Needless to say I LOVED playing around with the ink pads and water spritzer to create the backgrounds. I’m looking forward to trying some soft blue tones next time and I can guarantee my watercolour paper supplies will diminish faster than I had anticipated.

Here’s the great colour palette from Colour INKspiration this round –
