Welcome to addinktive designs and the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge.
You can find Colour INKspiration Challenges on Facebook and there are two challenges every month (on the second and fourth Wednesdays).
Today’s Lavender Theme, colour palette comes from former Colour INKspiration Crew Member, Jackie Noble who took this photo during a Stampin’ Up! ® Incentive Trip around the Greek Isles. It’s the beautiful Lavender Shop at Assisi.
The challenge for #CI71 is to make a paper craft project using the chosen colour combination, Highland Heather, Pool Party, Gray Granite and Pear Pizzazz; you may also add Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Basic Black and metallics to your project. We also allow ‘Ivory’ and ‘Bronze’ in the Stampin’ Blends. If you don’t have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Smoky Slate instead of Gray Granite … you get the drift).
I was inspired to use a new stamp set called, Positive Thoughts and some of the other Colour INKspiration Crew Members did as well. Maybe its popularity has something to do with a brand new Coordination Product Release! For a limited time only you can purchase the coordinating dies for this set (Nature’s Thoughts) and they are just gorgeous!
This Pop-Out Panel Card design with stamped flowers is a great alternative to real flowers to give to a patient in hospital as it makes a pretty display, requires no water and doesn’t make people sneeze! It becomes a card and a gift in one.
I added a belly band to this one and made use of some new embossing folders. You can see the full project list at the end of my post.
The colour combo for CI#71 is totally gorgeous and I hope you’ll pop on over to Facebook and join in with the challenge.
Even though the Crew are from the South Pacific Region, the challenge is an international one; so if you love all things Stampin’ Up! ®, please feel free to play along. You don’t need a blog to enter. Click on the badge below to take you to our Facebook group –
If you like this style of card, the tutorial for my Pop-Out Panel Card Design can be purchased below. Please note: I used the measurements and score lines for the ‘Feels Like Frost’ Version and substituted the DSP for the embossed card stock and used Positive Thoughts Stamps and Natures Thoughts Dies instead.
As there have been a few requests, for the instructions for this card (CI#71), I have now written an additional page for the tutorial bundle. If you’ve recently purchased this bundle (since my blog post went live), I will email you the updated version.
