Welcome to the ESAD ‘So Long Favourites’ Blog Hop where we are featuring our favourite products retiring from the 2018/19 Annual and 2019 Occasions Catalogues.
Oh gosh, where do I start? I was so busy preparing for Auckland On Stage that a lot of my new Occasions sets have not yet seen ink so I chose to focus on the gorgeous Dear Doily Bundle and discovered in the process that the dies were no longer available. Oops! I think I’ve been living in a bubble for the last few months. Anyway, we’re saying goodbye to this beautiful stamp set! I won’t be parting with it though, mainly because of the gorgeous sprigs of lavender and intricate doily images. So much to ❤️.
I had the idea to make some Scented Easel Cards when I first laid eyes on ‘Dear Doily’ in the Occasions Catty in Orlando. It took a retiring products blog hop to get myself into gear!
Here’s what I came up with –
Two other retiring ‘favourites’ of mine also feature in today’s projects –
Wood Textures 6×6 DSP … sniff! and the Everyday Jars Framelits –
(and Powder Pink … did I mention Powder Pink? Goodbye, Powder Pink! … and Fresh Fig and Berry Burst!) It’s so hard for me to farewell the In Colours!
To make the cards extra special, I bought some Lavender Essential Oil just so I could make scented cards with this set! That’s total dedication to the craft in my book.
Here’s how – Just squeeze some Clear Wink of Stella (Thanks, Lou for the tip) onto an Acrylic Block and add a drop or two of doTERRA Lavender. Mix together with a small brush or with an empty Wink of Stella brush and apply to the lavender images. You’ll have your craft room smelling like our local Bridestowe Lavender Estate in no time and the cards would be great for ‘Get Well’ wishes or for Mother’s Day.
Thanks so much for checking out our ESAD Blog Hop today!
Up next on the hop is the lovely Libby Dyson –

Bronwyn I love these! Such a lovely gift for someone especially with the lavender oil. I love the wooden jars too 🙂
Lovely Bronwyn I am really sad about Everyday Jars too 🙁

You always amaze me! Thanks for inspiration, Bronwyn!
Oh I just love these. Nothing better than looking and smelling great! So clever. x
Gorgeous scented easel cards Bronwyn, I really need to try the scent technique.
Total dedication to your craft with buying lavender oil specifically for this project – also helps that the scent is amazing! Thanks for sharing!!
Lovely project and a great tip with the lavender oil. I will miss the Wood Textures DSP too.
I wish my computer had smell-a-vision! What a lovely idea. I love all the old favourites you’ve used here, what a gorgeous project.
Oh my Goodness Bronwyn, be still my beating heart, these are Gorgeous!
Love the card Bronwyn and such a good idea of adding scented oil. What a creative way to use the jar dies too. Love it!
Two of my favourites!! Such a cute card!. I love how you have created the lace look.
Love how you have used the oil to scent these cards – I can almost smell them. I too will be very sad to see both the DSP and the Dear Doily set leaving us.
I do love the idea of having an aroma when you open the card – reminds me of the old ‘scratch and sniff’ cards!! Beautiful Bronwyn – sorry for the late post of comments, life has been crazy. xx
So pretty Bron! I’m keeping the jars – they are too sweet to part with just yet. And I think I’m going to need to do one last order to get more Wood Textures DSP! Kelly x
