Hi there. Today’s the day that I fly to Melbourne, the first leg of my journey to Orlando, Florida for the Mega Event of the Year – On Stage Live, where I’ll be celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Stampin’ Up! ® with thousands of other super excited paper crafters from all around the world.
I’m pinching myself as I write this post as my upcoming trip still seems so surreal. It wouldn’t have been possible without the sales from my tutorials over the last twelve months, so I am extremely grateful to everyone that has supported my little business.
As you probably know, I love making Fancy Fold Cards so when I saw the call out on Stampin’ Connection to sign up for some organised SWAPS, I jumped at the chance to put my name down for a few Fancy Fold ones. I’ve also made some general swaps, roomie gifts and swaps for the Stamp Review Crew! I have been VERY busy in the lead up to On Stage, all while running an On-Line Christmas Class Extravaganza.
Over the coming days I will have loads to share with you and today I’m starting with the first Fancy Fold Card Swap (Group #1 – Calypso Coral) where I opted to make Bridge Fold Cards.
A stack of Garden Impressions 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper was the starting point for my colour selection and a good way to mix it up a bit as I really don’t enjoy making multiple cards that are exactly the same.
Here’s my favourite one of the eleven that I made which has Petal Pink Card Stock for the base of the card –
This design was used for a recent stamp class so it seemed a logical thing to prepare some extra kits while I had the help of two work experience students!
It would have been a lot of extra work to add the middle inserts that we made in class but for some quick and easy embellishments I added some Metallic Pearls, Braided Linen Trim and painted the birds with some Clear Wink of Stella Glitter.
Which one’s your favourite?
