Hi there peeps! Do you ever have stamping days where nothing seems to go right? Yesterday was one of those days for me.
I’m ‘under the pump’ as they say. Is that just an Aussie expression? Well, anyway, it’s only another 8 days until I leave for Orlando and even though I started my swaps weeks ago and have been consistently working on them, I still have quite a few to do. My suitcase is half packed and the rest of my wardrobe and supplies are sorted. However, my brain is on over-load at the moment and sleep eludes me! Heck, I’m not complaining; so glad I don’t have to go to ‘work’ every day. This semi-retired life is pretty good.
Here’s the story – I have one more lot of Fancy Fold Cards to make for an organised swap. I chose to make a Z-Fold Box Card (pop up elements in a z-fold) – after all that fold is my ‘baby’. I had the idea of combining Winter Woods with Dashing Deer and stamping with Shimmer Paint and creating a lovely scene in a double z-fold, pop-up, box card – phew that’s a mouthful. The result was lovely but the ‘journey’ was not.
Let’s just say that shattered Stamparatus magnets and getting all inky with Shimmer Paint was not a good combo and the thought of making multiples of the card that I had designed was causing me some grief.
Today, I’m looking at the card and loving how it turned out but have started making a completely different design for my swaps and I’m feeling way more content. Make sure you look out for the scheduled posts that will start publishing next week to see what designs I ended up with.
So without any more further ado, here’s the card I made yesterday –
I was undecided about the Winter Woods Stamp Set but despite the ‘hiccups’ yesterday, I LOVE all the stamp images and die cuts. It’s an absolutely gorgeous bundle and one that I’m looking forward to inking up again.
Best be off to make some more swaps. Thanks for stopping by,
