Today our beautiful daughter turns 25. Happy Birthday Laura! She’s currently saving her ‘pennies’ to buy a decent camera so I thought I’d design a special Camera Card for her birthday.
I love making 3D cards so the base is a camera shaped box card (card in a box). It has a front sliding element and the top of the card is bursting with stamped images that represent my daughter’s interests as well as a die-cut, Happy Birthday sentiment.
Well, this little ‘project’ took me nearly all day to put together. I kinda just made it up as I went along and was thankful for left over Shepherd’s Pie for tea that night as I was on a mission to complete it before the day ended.
You’ll be pleased to know that I’ve written a tutorial so it won’t take you all day to make one! My suggestion is for you to make the basic camera card (as shown below) and then add some personal touches for the recipient. If you need a ‘generic’ happy birthday card, you could add some stamped and punched party balloons to the middle insert!

You are SO clever! Another amazing creation – your daughter will love it!
What a womderful card! I love it and am wondering, will this card flatten to be put in an envelope or is it given as shown?
Hi Judi, thank you and yes it does fold flat. The card is quite tall so you’ll need to make a custom made envelope.
Awesome card. Bet your daughter loves it.
What a fabulous card! I’m sure your daughter felt all the love that went into it.
