Colour INKspiration #25

Welcome to addinktive designs and the first  Colour INKspiration Challenge  and CI Crew Blog Hop for 2018.  Just in case you haven’t heard, Colour INKspiration Challenges are on Facebook and there are two challenges every month.  Join us on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of every month for a brand new colour palette.  #CI25 will run  until  7pm (AEDT – Melbourne Time) on Monday 22nd January, 2018.  

Tricia Raineri chose the summery inspiration pic for #CI25.  I just love the gorgeous colour palette and I hope you do too! You can also add other neutrals such as Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Sahara Sand as well as metallics in your challenge project.

I thought this colour combo would be great for a masculine card and so I made a special birthday card for a former work colleague of mine who just turned 60!  I hope AB enjoyed his holiday and celebrated his 60th in style.

I cracked open the new, Bubble Over Bundle from the Occasions Catalogue to use as the feature set on this card –

Double Z-Fold Box Card Measurements for Tutti-Frutti Card Base –

1. Valley fold a front card base.
2. Fold the left side in half using a mountain fold.
3. Cut a piece of card stock that measures, H: 1-1/2″ x W: 8-9/16″ (3.5cms x 21.5cms) for the lower, front z-section.
4. Score the strip at the half way mark (length wise) and then fold the second half, in half again.
5. Glue to the lower front and far right side of the card as shown.
6. Make a card insert for the pop-up middle section by cutting a piece, H: 1-1/2″ x W: 3-1/4″ (3.5cms x 8cms) and score 1/2″ (1.2cms) from each end.
7. Embellish with stamped images and accessories.
