Hey there, have you checked out the Creative Crew Challenge Galleries at Splitcoast Stampers? I’ve joined the Crew for September through to December and this is the fourth challenge for the month of September – CCREW0916SF – Scrapbook and More. All four challenges run simultaneously throughout the whole month.
The Creative Crew Scrapbook and More Challenge – When I saw the word Scrapbook for this challenge, my heart skipped a beat as I haven’t really got into scrapbooking as cards are more my thing. Phew! I was relieved to see that there is an alternative to making a scrapbook page – a gift that celebrates a holiday you spent with family or friends.
I decided on a gift with a beach theme – a miniature picture frame. The sparkling, water-filled frame was purchased from a gift shop when hubby and I were away on a weekend break last summer at West Beach in Burnie. Despite the ash falling on the township from the nearby bush fires, it was a great weekend; the weather was warm, we got a glimpse of the Fairy Penguins at twilight as we walked along the local boardwalk, dined out at the Surf Club, did a bit of a shopping and enjoyed a room with a view that had a balcony that overlooked the beach. Bliss!
Here’s my little jar of shells in the gold glitter frame –
Do you love the little seashells? A big shout out to Kelly Kent who inspired me to white emboss them onto vellum. I sprinkled some Gold Embossing Powder with the White for a speckled look.
