Social Stamping – #sharesunshine

Hi there. My lovely Stampin’ friend, Kelly Kent from Western Australia has created a platform (Social Stamping) for many of us to share our creations while the world is experiencing various stages of social distancing and isolation. The theme this week is SUNSHINE.

Many restrictions have started to ease across Australia but not a lot has changed in Tassie as yet. Stage 1 starts on Monday but I won’t be able to see my family or friends in other areas of the state until mid-June. Until we can start travelling in our RV again, it looks like my pre-order goodies will get plenty of ‘love’.

What flower better represents sunshine than the sunflower itself? I was pretty keen to ink up ‘Celebrate Sunflowers’ for my latest Flowerpot Box Card

I’ve used two new In-Colours – Just Jade and Bumble Bee; the coordinating inks are not available until the actual launch of the catalogue so I inked the leaves with Garden Green and the sunflower with Crushed Curry. The flowerpot base was cut from Soft Suede Card Stock and covered with the beautiful woodgrain papers from the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP. Early Espresso Card Stock was used for the sunflower centre which was die-cut using the new Sunflower Dies. A small bow was tied from the new Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon. To complete my flowerpot card, I chose the sentiments from the Share Sunshine PDF.

I hope this card brings some sunshine to the recipient. Up next we have the lovely,  Peta Stephen
