The Stamp Review Crew – Bonanza Buddies

Hi there. I’m back hopping with The Stamp Review Crew after a very long break! Welcome and thanks for hopping over from Nikki’s blog.

Just before we travelled to Israel for a Study Tour last year, I let go of some Design Team commitments as we were planning to do a lot more travel in 2020; mostly in Australia in our Motorhome to begin with, then go on a cruise and later decide on where in the world we wanted to go next! I was planning to be way too preoccupied with travelling for me to even contemplate staying with Stampin’ Up! ® beyond March this year. Well, 2020 turned out a little different than anyone could have imagined – very surreal, the stuff of Science Fiction Movies. Sadly the horror is so very real for many people around the globe and dare I say, a holiday on a cruise ship is no longer on our wish list.

So to keep me occupied while Covid 19 continues its destructive path, I’ve immersed myself in paper craft more than ever and have rejoined the Stamp Review Crew until the day we’re back in our RV again.

Today we are featuring the stamp set, Bonanza Buddies. I tried my hand at some Double Wonder Cards (Cards made from two half sheets of 12×12 DSP – 6×12) made popular by the lovely, Shannon West. I followed the template and samples that Julie Davison shared on her blog but used the Birthday Bonanza Suite of products.

Bonanza Buddies Double Wonder Cards

From two different half sheets of 12×12, you can make 11 cards – 3 layouts in total and a bonus card.

I chose to use the colours Terracotta Tile, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody and Bermuda Bay for the card bases.

Main Product List

Wow! I don’t usually do ‘quick and easy’ card layouts. I made 11 cards in one session! Go me. However, I didn’t want to leave it at that as I had an idea for another Baby Crib Card (the first one I made was actually for a Stamp Review Blog Hop a few years ago). This time I’ve designed a Gift Card Holder to go inside this 3D Baby Crib Card

Baby Crib Gift Card Holder

The elements were chosen to coordinate with my cousin’s nursery decor (she has an Aussie bush theme) and is eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first ‘miracle’ baby (7 IVF procedures later). I’m so excited for them and cannot wait until their baby arrives and it’s safe to have visitors so I can sneak a cuddle – sadly though that may be a little while away.

I’ve written a Tutorial for this Baby Crib Gift Card Holder which can be found in my next blog post.

I’ve already had a few opportunities to play with Bonanza Buddies with these Easel Cards and an Extended Double Z-Fold Box Card
