A Decorative ‘V’ Corner Card

Hi there, I have something a bit different to share with you today; it’s a Decorative Corner Card. A tutorial for this type of card by Laura Lipe can be found on Splitcoast Stampers.

I’ve put my own twist on it and started with a portrait card from half a piece of A4 card stock (The tutorial on Splitcoast uses inches with half a piece of Lettersize Card Stock).

Mini Tutorial

As you can see from my card, I cut a V shape at the front and back 4cms (1-/1/2″) from the centre score lines and cut off all but one of the triangular flaps (front left).

Card Size: (H) 14.8cm x (W) 21cm. Score at 5.25cm, 10.5cm, 15.75cm.

Measure down 4cm (1-1/2″). Create 2 triangular flaps.

Measure down 4cm on either side and cut off the two triangular pieces.

Card strip: (H) 14.8cm x (W) 2.6cm. Score along the width at 1.3cm

Join the back section together and cut off the excess card stock at the top.

Cut off the right triangular flap.

Belly Band: 4cms (1-1/2″) in height.

Punch a small hole in the corner flap and tie a bow.
