Colour INKspiration #70 – Birthday Bash Blog Hop

Welcome to addinktive designs and a very special Colour INKspiration Challenge and CI Crew Blog Hop. Colour INKspiration officially launched 3 years ago today so we’re celebrating with a fun Birthday Bash Blog Hop and Challenge.

You can find Colour INKspiration Challenges on Facebook and there are usually two challenges every month (on the second and fourth Wednesdays). However, due to the Summer Break we are having just one mega challenge that will run for a whole month!

The challenge for #CI70 is to make a Birthday Themed Paper Craft Project using YOUR 3 FAVOURITE STAMPIN’ UP ! ® Colours (some neutrals and metallics are allowed).  You can enter as many times as you like before the challenge ends on February 10th.

I’ve gathered together most of the current CI Crew as well as some former Design Team Members to participate in our 3rd Birthday Bash Blog Hop. The hop begins here and weaves its way through 22 stops in total, so grab a cuppa and enjoy checking out all the different colour combos from the crew.

The three favourite Stampin’ Up! ® colours that I chose for my crew project are Seaside Spray, Rococo Rose and Mint Macaron –

Remember that I said the theme was ‘BIRTHDAYS’? It seems that I forgot to re-read the memo (yep … the one that I wrote). Oops! I got a bit distracted with my lovely niece recently announcing her engagement; all I could think of was how pretty these colours would look in an engagement card teamed with the new Grace’s Garden Bundle.

The sentiments in the bundle, however, weren’t really right for an engagement card so I chose two from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set instead. Maddy and Michael’s engagement invite had their initials on it, so I thought I’d personalise the card in a similar way and stamped two ‘M’s’ from the retired set, Broadsheet Alphabet, die-cut both with a circular frame from the Stitched Labels Dies and added them to the back of the card.

Grace’s Garden Bundle was at the top of my pre-order list and have envisaged making a card like this ever since I spotted the stamps and coordinating dies in the new Mini Catalogue; this one turned out rather cute so I ended up creating a similar one to use for my next tutorial project. You can find a link to the completed tutorial further down this post.

Thanks so much for joining us on our special 3rd Birthday Bash Blog Hop for Colour INKspiration. Up next on the hop is the lovely and talented, former crew member, Patrice Easton

Even though the Crew are from the South Pacific Region, the challenge is an international one; so if you love all things Stampin’ Up! ®, please feel free to join in. You don’t need a blog to enter. Click on the badge below to take you to our Facebook group –
