Crew Member, Kelly Kent chose our latest Pinterest Pic. Isn’t it gorgeous!

I recently purchased some stamps from the new Stampin’ Up! ® Catalogue and Seaside Notions on page 139 was at the top of my list! Any beach themed stamps hook me in straight away, so I was going to make the colours for our latest challenge ‘work’ with these stamps.

Last week we went on an adventure in our Motorhome to the East Coast of Tasmania and ‘glamped’ at Swansea and Coles Bay (Freycinet National Park). I took most of my new stamp sets that required some colouring and with #CI58 in mind, had a lovely time watercoloring these gorgeous images with Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake Ink, then fussy cutting them ready to add to a card when I returned home.

As you can see, Tasmania is beautiful even in the Winter time, a tad chilly but breathtakingly beautiful. I didn’t get a lot of crafting time in as we were too busy exploring the beaches, local towns and enjoying the gob smacking scenery with a boat cruise on hubby’s birthday! I love the beach any time of the year and I love making ‘beach themed’ cards.

Of course my latest card had to be 3D and to add the gold and white to the colour palette, I die cut some shapes from Gold Foil and Sparkle Glimmer Paper using Under the Sea Dies. The DSP and embossing folder that I used are retired now but I thought they were the best choice for the ‘look’ I had in mind; I was pretty pleased with the result!

I’ve used this Shadow Box Card design a few times now and never tire of it (see bottom of post). If you look closely you’ll see I got so excited about adding the images that I forgot to glue in a gold window frame around the front opening … ooops! Ah well, next time.

I hope you’re getting lots of inspiration from the Crew. Up next on the Colour INKspiration Crew Blog Hop is our Guest Designer, Vicki Boucher

Even though the Crew are from the South Pacific Region, the challenge is an international one; so if you love all things Stampin’ Up! ®, please feel free to join in. You don’t need a blog to enter. Click on the badge below to take you to our Facebook group –
