Colour INKspiration #54 – Black and White with a ‘Pop’ of Colour

Welcome to addinktive designs and another fun Colour INKspiration Challenge and CI Crew Blog Hop.

You can find Colour INKspiration Challenges on Facebook and there are two challenges every month. Join us on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays for a brand new colour palette.

Before I get onto sharing the latest challenge I thought you might like to see a couple of pics of the Colour INKspiration Crew in Auckland, NZ.

L-R: Kim Badelt, Jan Clothier, Kathryn Mangelsdorf, Rachel Palmieri, Denita Wright-Smee, Rose Packer, Lou Kitzelman, Jackie Aitken, Cathy Pinchbeck, Liz Gross, Bronwyn Eastley (that’s me), Rebecca Scurr, Leonie Stuart, Simone Bartrum and Jacque Williams

Fifteen of the twenty three Colour INKspiration Crew attended Auckland On Stage. I don’t have an up-line so these girls are my ‘Stampin’ Up! ® Family’ and we have so much fun together when we snatch the chance to catch up at SU Events.

Here’s a pic of the Colour INKspiration Crew at Elliot Stables for a team dinner … as well as the Just Add Ink and CASEing the Catty Design Teams. Many members overlap into all 3 DTs so we organised a combined dinner for the night before On Stage. Some of the members’ room mates joined us, as well as the lovely Natalie Travis from the USA. It was a great meal with good company.

It truly was the #besteventever and I miss those girls already. Anyhow … enough reminiscing and onto the latest challenge. Crew Member, Nicole Wilson chose our latest Pinterest inspired pic –

#CI54 is simply a black and white challenge with the addition of a ‘pop’ of colour of your choice and will run until 7pm (AEST – Melbourne Time), Monday 6th May, 2019.

My card is a very simple one but I really struggle with #simplestamping. It doesn’t seem ‘finished’ to me as I generally love making 3D cards with lots of layers and embellishments!

However, I’m on a mission to use the stamp sets I haven’t inked before they retire and Mediterranean Moments was on the list. The scooter really ‘screamed’ to be highlighted in this gorgeous image so it was an obvious choice for me to use this stamp for our latest challenge.

That’s it from me. I hope you’re getting lots of inspiration from the Crew. Up next on the Colour INKspiration Crew Blog Hop is the lovely Julia Quinn

Even though the Crew are from the South Pacific Region, the challenge is an international one; so if you love all things Stampin’ Up! ®, please feel free to join in.  You don’t need a blog to enter. Click on the badge below to take you to our Facebook group –

Thanks for hopping by!

  1. Bronwyn, it was indeed a lovely dinner! I also struggle with simple stamping but yours looks great. Red and black is such a classic combo.

  2. Yep, the scooter really was a perfect choice for a pop of colour! Stunning simple card is so perfectly elegant.

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave some comment love. I read and appreciate each one. Thanks for visiting addINKtive designs.
