CASEing the Catty #180 – Favourite Retiring Project

Hello and welcome to my blog. Tonight I’m back with the crew at CASEing the Catty for the CTC #180 Blog Hop and a new card challenge.

CTC is a group of Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators from Australia and New Zealand who love to create using the Stampin’ Up! ® catalogues as inspiration.

Every Sunday night at 7pm (AEST), the CTC Crew will either directly CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) or use a sketch/layout, colour combo, embellishment, just to name a few examples, as a springboard for their own creations.

This week we are CASEing our Favourite Retiring Project. I decided to make a Pocket Card as I’m on a bit of a roll with them at the moment thanks to my stampin’ bud, Jackie Aitken.

There are quite a few things that are retiring items in my card but this post is mainly a tribute to the Lots of Labels Dies. Those dies have been through my Big Shot an unimaginable amount of times as they have been a ‘go to’ set for many a fancy fold card! The good news is, I’m already falling in love with a whole new lot of dies from my pre-order and the Lots of Labels will still linger in my craft room for a long time to come.

So as well as the Lots of Labels Dies, we’re also saying goodbye to the Friendship’s Sweetest Thoughts Stamp Set, the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper and the Delicate White Doilies.

I decided not to colour the sweet images from the stamp set in order to maintain the black and white theme of the DSP.

My card is inspired by two projects in the Occasions Catalogue

There’s only a few days left to order some of your favourites from the Occasions Catty and thankfully, some items are returning in the new annual catalogue on June 1st. Next weekend the CASEing the Catty Crew will be sharing projects CASED from the new catty so be sure to come back and check out the hop.

Up next on the CTC Crew Blog Hop is Julia Quinn with a lovely floral card to share –

Even though the Crew are from the South Pacific Region, the challenge is an international one; so if you love all things Stampin’ Up! ®, please feel free to join in.  You don’t need a blog to enter.

Live in Australia?  I’d love to be your Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.
