A Baby Theme for Kylie’s International Blog Highlights

Hi there and welcome to my blog. Today I’m joining in with Kylie Bertucci’s April International Blog Highlights .  It’s a Baby Theme this month and I have made a 3D card to share. It’s an original design that has a pop-up baby crib (cot) in a double z-fold and features the cute animals from A Little Wild and some nursery images from Bookcase Builder.

I jumped at the opportunity to link up to a baby themed ‘challenge’ as I had already scheduled a fun fold class for my Stamp Class attendees this month; we will be making a 3D baby card! It won’t be this particular one as it’s a bit too involved but I have been experimenting with a few different designs lately in order to highlight some different stamp sets. You’ll have to pop back on Monday if you want to see the next instalment. 😏

My card does fold flat but it’s a little too large for a standard card size envelope. When folded, it measures (H) 6″ x  (W) 5-1/2″ so I would need to make a coordinating envelope with the Envelope Punch Board.

So what do ya think? I hope I’ve inspired you to hop on over to Kylie’s Blog. 😁 My card is number 11 in the link up and I would certainly appreciate your vote.

Thanks, Kylie, for a fun way to connect with other demos and SU enthusiasts.

Yay!! Thanks for voting –

#festivefridaychallenge

You may be wondering why my baby card is so GREEN! Normally I would have gone for more subtle colours but I had the Earth Day/Green Challenge in mind over at Festive Friday – #FF0005 and I’m  also trying to make sure I use up as much DSP from the current annual catalogue as I can before it ‘retires’.

Challenge Brief – The festivity is Earth Day which is on April 22. Pair that with the design element of Green, or use either element on its own!

Well, I’ve certainly used lots of green in my project (the DSP is from Coffee Break) and did you notice what the lion is standing on?

I’m also doing a little ‘happy dance’ because my all time favourite Stampin’ Up! ® green is making a comeback in the next catalogue. To celebrate I found some MINT MACARON CARD STOCK in my stash and used it for the card base and hanging vines. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! Nuff said.

The Festive Friday Challenge is relatively new and I really love their blog set up and the creative way they encourage you to participate in the challenges by earning FEST points. This is my second time participating. You can check out their latest challenge, HERE.

PS: Thanks, Ann and the Festive Friday Team  –

Happy stamping!

  1. Definitely voting for your card. It is so stinkin’ cute. Hope you can share how you make the crib. Also, I normally use a subtles color palette when making a baby card, but this green is so striking. Kudos on the great color choice.

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave some comment love. I read and appreciate each one. Thanks for visiting addINKtive designs.
