Colour INKspiration #17

Welcome to addinktive designs and another Colour INKspiration Blog Hop! I’m so excited to join up with this talented bunch of Australian and New Zealand Stampin’ Up! ® enthusiasts to share our projects to help kick start the 17th Colour INKspiration Challenge.

Just in case you haven’t heard, Colour INKspiration Challenges are on Facebook and there are two challenges every month.  Join us on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of every month for a brand new colour palette.

This round Tanya Bell has given a pretty Spring swatch of colours to work with and I took the challenge pretty literally!

The outdoor potting bench and cupboard reminded me of a card fold that I hadn’t tried yet – The Bench Fold Card.  I bought some tutorials from the very talented, UK Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, Amanda Bates, a while ago and thought this challenge was the perfect inspiration to try out this fun fold.

I would highly recommend purchasing Amanda’s tutorial/s and checking out her blog for lots of design ideas.  The measurements are in metric and imperial and I chose to use the metric version. Once you understand the basic fold, the scenes that you can create are endless.  I’m looking forward to making another one for display purposes, as this one has already gone to a very close friend of mine that recently celebrated her birthday.

Thanks for hopping by.  Up next on the Colour INKspiration Blog Hop is our Guest Designer and new addition to the CI Crew, Jackie Aitken. You are going to LOVE the cute Christmas scene that she has created with her fun fold card and the beautiful colour palette.
