Child of Bethlehem Pop-Up, Z-Fold Card

Yay! it’s the night before the Holiday Catalogue launch.  A brand new catty will be available to customers from tomorrow and you’re going to LOVE it! I have made a few cards this month with my pre-order goodies but have been battling the flu this last week, so not much paper crafting going on of late!  It was good to finally get back to work today and enjoy the glorious sunshine for the last day of winter.

I made this card a few days ago but was lacking in a bit of ‘zing’  to write up the post and finish the tutorial. When I got home from work tonight, I managed to finally complete everything ready for publishing.

The idea for this card has been floating around in my head for a while and I like the contrast and elegance of the star against the rustic background of the stable ‘walls’ – representing the King of Kings born in such humble surroundings.

Of course the card is 3D – it’s a pop-up, z-fold – one of my favourite fancy folds!  This one is a fairly simple design that’s easy to recreate.

I particularly love how the ‘hay’ in the manger turned out.  Can you guess from the list of products what die I used?

Thanks for dropping by my blog and a HUGE big thank you to everyone that purchased my tutorials this month.  It was a mega August with the introduction of the AddINKtive Designs Team and Celebrating 12 months at addinktivedesigns.com.

To end the month of celebrations, I’m offering a FREE TUTORIAL  for the Child of Bethlehem, Pop-Up, Z-Fold Card to anyone that leaves me a comment on this post and can guess my most popular NEW tutorial download for the month of August.  Here’s the list to choose from –

  • Carols of Christmas #1, Double Z-Fold, Box Card (1)
  • Carols of Christmas #2, Double Z-Fold, Box Card (2)
  • This Little Piggy Slider Card (3)
  • Night in Bethlehem, Lots of Labels, Bridge Fold Card (4)
  • Hometown Greetings, Lots of Labels, Bridge Fold, Box Card (5)

To make it nice and easy you can just quote the number from 1 to 6 … but don’t forget to say hi. Happy guessing!

COMPETITION HAS CLOSED.  If you are one of the ten that guessed #4 before I added my comment below,  make sure you email me at bronaddinktivedesigns@gmail.com to claim your prize!
