Stampin’ Up! Catalogue Launch – Daisy Delight Bundle

Hi there! Welcome to addINKtive designs.  Today I’m sharing a snap shot of the projects I demonstrated at our Catty Launch last month.

In our team monthly stamp classes one of us usually demonstrates a technique and the other two provide a kit each for two simple make ‘n’ take projects.  It was my turn to do the technique demo so I chose to highlight the gorgeous Daisy Delight Bundle.  You can see the beautiful range of products on page 126 and 127 of the new 2017/2018 Annual Catalogue. The Daisy Punch has been extremely popular and unfortunately won’t be back in stock (for new orders) until early August!

However, the Daisy Delight Stamp Set is available and here’s a peek at some of the beautiful projects featured in the catty –

For some added inspiration, I did a big search on Pinterest  a few weeks ago for some daisy pics and created some colour swatches that you can download here –

Colour Combinations for the Daisy Delight Bundle

I made sure I let the ladies know about this great resource at our stamp class and used some of the colour combos for my technique samples –

The number ‘2’ colour combo was a good starting point for the daisy that I demonstrated at our catty launch.  This is the simplest way to make a daisy and it is actually my favourite.

Directions –

  1. Stamp two large daisies with So Saffron Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock.
  2. Punch out with the Daisy Punch.
  3. Glue the two pieces together at the centre.
  4. Stamp the centre of the daisy with the plain ‘centre’ stamp in So Saffron and then the textured ‘centre’ stamp over the top with Daffodil Delight.
  5. Attach to some florist wire and add several of your paper daisies to a Mason Jar filled with faux Gypsophila (‘Baby’s Breath’).

(If you’re a local, Simon’s Carpets at Kingmeadows stock the faux Gypsophila)

Phew! This is a long post. Lastly, I want to share with you what I ‘made’ for the ‘Door Prize‘ on the night – a daisy pen attached to a mini stack of post-it-notes.  I found some cute daisy pens at Kmart and glued a paper daisy over the top of the plastic one, added a Clear Faceted Gem to the centre and finished it off with some gorgeous ribbon. The little pad of notes already had a built in pen holder – perfect!

Here’s a link to a mini tutorial by Courtenay Heuston on how to attach the florist wire to the back of the daisies – http://bagsthatone.blogspot.com.au/2017/06/daisy-delight-bundle-that-is-just.html

It was a fun night at our Catty Launch Stamp Class.  I’ll be back later to share the make ‘n’ take cards that Jo and De Arn designed.
