Colour INKspiration #08

Welcome to addinktive designs and our eighth Colour INKspiration Blog Hop! The CI Crew are back again to help kick start this round of Colour INKspiration Challenges.

Colour INKspiration is a paper craft challenge on Facebook and this fortnight we have a lovely swatch of Autumn colours to work with.

The Colour Palette for #CI08 is Delightful Dijon, Tip Top Taupe, Soft Suede, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla.

This round we welcome Sue Vine as a Guest Designer.  Thanks for joining the hop, Sue and showcasing your talent.

I thought I’d whip out some new goodies that I was able to order as an attendee at On Stage and make a birthday card for a friend; these colours are ‘right up her alley’.

There’s a mix of the old and the new on my card and I just want to highlight a few of the upcoming products that will be released in June –

  • The little logs are cut from the beautiful Wood Texture Designer Series Paper Stack.  You are going to love this DSP!
  • The ‘lattice’ is also die cut from the same DSP stack.  The die is actually from a new set called Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies and is  actually a deck chair cut down to look like lattice for a climbing plant.
  • The autumn leaf, branch and flowers are from the same set of dies.
  • There’s a coordinating stamp set called Colourful Seasons in the ‘bundle’ and that is where the sentiment comes from.

I think that the Colourful Seasons Bundle will get a real workout from me over the coming year!

Card Measurements – Card Base: Height – 5-13/16″ (14.9 cms) Width – 8-1/4″ (21 cms). Score at 2-1/16″ (mountain) and 4-1/8″ (valley) The z-fold brick wall base is 2-1/2″ (6.3 cms) high and 8-1/4″ (21 cms). Score at 4-1/8″ (mountain) and 6-3/16″ (valley). The sections of DSP or embossed bricks are measured 1/4″ less for height and width.

Here’s a list of supplies that I used on my project that are available now to purchase in my on-line store –

Up next on the Colour INKspiration Blog Hop we have my lovely and oh so talented friend, Nikki Spencer to share some cuteness with the colour palette –

  1. Lovely Bron, I especially love the pile of logs and the autumn leaves on the branch, aren’t they the most lovely thinlits? You have such an eye for a detailed scene. I’m sure your friend will love her special card.

  2. Oh wow Bron! I absolutely love this card. Your z fold talent is amazing! And I love that suite and can’t wait to play!!!!

  3. Ooh this is just lovely, Bron. I am always inspired by your Z folds & this one in particular just sold me on that bundle (that I was totally not getting btw).

  4. Fabulous Bron! So many gorgeous details and elements. I love the scene you’ve created, perfect for this chilly weather. xx
