Colour INKspiration Challenge #04

Welcome to addinktive designs and our fourth  Colour INKspiration Blog Hop! The CI Crew are back again to help kick start this round of Colour INKspiration Challenges.

Just in case you haven’t heard, Colour INKspiration is on Facebook and we have over 1000 group members!

This fortnight we have a lovely swatch of purple and yellows to work with, thanks to a great pic I found on Pinterest.

The Colour Palette for #CI04 is – Delightful Dijon, Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White and Crushed Curry.  Other neutrals are welcome such as Black, Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Kraft, Sahara Sand and Metallics.

I was so inspired to make a Hexagonal Base Pop-Up Card after seeing an awesome video by Sanjay Soriano on the Demonstrator Party Planning Place on Facebook –https://www.facebook.com/sanjay.soriano/videos/g.524888487698159/1893262964277457/?type=2&theater

I thought the colour palette was perfect for a pretty floral display using the Botanical Builder Framelits and then added a couple of winged creatures (dragonflies from Touches of Texture) for the latest challenge at the Global Design Project.

Here’s what the base looked like before adding the flowers –

I followed the tutorial link, made sure I pinned this beaut card fold on  Pinterest and created my version for tonight’s colour challenge.

Thanks so much for hopping by!

Next on the hop is the talented, Kim Badelt

I hope I have inspired you to take up the challenge, make something  awesome using the colour combo, and upload your pic at Colour INKspiration.

I forgot to add that I also used a small square from the Stitched Framelits Dies for the panels on the hexagon base.

  1. This is totally gorgeous Bron! So floral, so elegant, so feminine. I think I might have to make something like this for my Mum for her birthday – she would love it!! xxx

  2. Um, WOW! <– I think I start all my comments to you like this! But seriously! I truly love that every thing you make is a work of art. You just go way above and beyond! This is amazing! Thanks so much for taking part in this week's Global Design Project.

  3. WOW. WOW, this is absolutely Beautiful. I love making the card in a box style of cards but this goes way beyond that. What you have made is so, so stunning words do not do it justice. I do have a question if I may – I watched the video you added the link for and in that the 2 hexagons are scored and pushed up from the bottom through the box to form a platform / shelf to add a panel into. With your version having a hexagon lid at the back, which I absolutely love, did you only have 1 hexagon to push up from the bottom or did you attach another hexagon for the lid? Hope that makes sense. Your card is amazing Bronwyn and you have, as you’ve done many times, inspired me so very much. Many thanks. Take good care.

      1. I am just revisiting this blog post for your stunning Hexagon Box pop-up card to gain inspection for one I want to try for my mother-in-law’s birthday next month. I have just noticed the thank you for your reply did not register, why, who knows, suffice to say the joys of technology! I did very much appropriate your reply, thank you. And as you can see I am retuning for more inspiration. Take care.
