Colour INKspiration Challenge #02

Welcome to addinktive designs and our second Colour INKspiration Blog Hop! I’m so excited to join up with a bunch of talented Australian and New Zealand Stampin’ Up! ® enthusiasts to share our projects to help kick start this round of Colour INKspiration Challenges.

Just in case you haven’t heard, Colour INKspiration  is on Facebook and we have well over 900 group members!

This fortnight we have a trendy swatch of succulent inspired colours to work with.

Other neutrals are welcome such Black, Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Kraft, Sahara Sand and Metallics.  So what are you waiting for?  Go and make something awesome and upload your pic at Colour INKspiration.

I stamped my way through a pot of succulents and made a mini macrame hanger from White Baker’s Twine.  The colours are the important part of the challenge and the ‘theme’ is optional, however, I couldn’t resist inking up my Oh, So Succulent stamp set and giving the coordinating dies a workout.

The white pot is made from the Window Box Thinlits Dies and embossed with the Boho Chic Embossing Folder and I have tied actual macrame knots at each join in the hanger.  Would you believe I went through a phase of making macrame hangers back in the 80’s?  Kudos to my uni art teacher who taught a unit on it and I did manage to transfer these skills to a keen bunch of grade 3 and 4 students in my state school teaching days! Ah, what comes around, goes around … as they say.
